There are certain moments in the life of a small brand that, aside from making your day, make you pause and reflect on the journey that brought you here. Opening the February issue of Good Housekeeping and seeing our Moonlight and Roses soap photographed so beautifully among "the new soap stars" is one of those moments.

Blanka Soap's Moonlight and Roses soap bar recommended by Good Housekeeping UK.

A Solid Choice

The feature, titled "Solid Choice," celebrates artisanal soap bars and the growing movement toward sustainable beauty. Their words capture something we've always believed: that choosing a bar of soap is about so much more than cleansing. It's about making thoughtful choices for our skin, our senses, and our planet.

"If you'd like to make your beauty regime more sustainable, it's time to get behind bars. Solid beauty is a brilliant way of cutting down on single-use plastic, all while leaving your skin and hair soft and elegantly fragranced. Luxurious to use and chic to look at, here are the new soap stars you'll want to get your hands on."

To be included in this celebration of sustainable beauty feels like an honour, and a responsibility we take to heart.

Moonlight and Roses

Our bestselling Moonlight and Roses bar has always held a special place in our hearts. From its conception, we wanted to create something that would transform an everyday ritual into a moment of quiet luxury. The name itself evokes a sense of romance and tranquility: the soft light of the moon, the timeless elegance of roses.

At its heart, this soap is crafted from sustainable olive oil and enriched with nourishing shea butter. The high glycerine content means it doesn't just cleanse, it truly moisturises, leaving skin feeling soft and cared for rather than tight and stripped. We wanted to create a soap that would be as gentle as it is effective.

The French Pink Clay we've chosen is particularly special. Rich in skin-loving minerals including silica, iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, copper, and potassium, it gently cleanses while delivering beneficial minerals to the skin. The clay's unique composition includes kaolinite, iron, illite, montmorillonite, and calcite, making it one of the mildest clays—perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

The scent is where Moonlight and Roses truly comes alive. We've blended pure essential oils of rose, geranium, and cardamom to create a fragrance that's both uplifting and grounding, floral yet sophisticated. There are no artificial chemicals here—just the pure essence of botanicals, exactly as nature intended. When you lather this soap in your hands, the aroma envelops you, transforming a simple moment of handwashing into something approaching meditation.

A Reminder of Purpose

Being featured in Good Housekeeping alongside other artisanal makers feels incredible. It's a reminder that there are people who care about what goes on their skin, who value craftsmanship over mass production, and who believe that beauty and sustainability can, and should, coexist.

We began making soap because we believed in creating something beautiful, sustainable, and genuinely beneficial for the skin. To see that vision acknowledged in such a respected publication reminds us why we do what we do.

If you'd like to experience Moonlight and Roses for yourself, or explore the rest of our collection, we'd be honoured to be part of your daily ritual.
